Host Networks a provider of virtual hosting, reseller hosting, dedicated servers and co-location services are looking for an cPanel/WHM Guru who is an energetic, self motivated, service orientated person to work at our data centre facility at Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary role of this position is the provisioning and ongoing system administration of cPanel/WHM servers on Linux (CentOS) and MS Windows 2008 servers.

 Other duties include support and sales enquiries (via phone and help desk), general data centre duties (remote hands service, escorted access and provisioning of services) and research and development of new products and services.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as is a neat and tidy appearance a positive attitude and a great phone manner.

Essential Attributes:

• Proven ability to administrate cPanel/WHM servers to a high level of security.
• Thorough understanding of all associated services:
  • Apache, DNS, Exim, IIS, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, PHP, Ruby on Rails.
• High level of troubleshooting for both hardware and software.
• Self motivated, proactive, punctual and a positive manner.
• Previous experience (2+ years) in a similar role: i.e. Internet/technical help desk support, hosting.
• Knowledge of server hardware, managed switches and routers. .
• Ability to work under pressure at times while maintaining customer focus.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  

Desirable Attributes:

• Knowledge of virtualization products (VMware/Virtuozzo)
• Knowledge of Cisco Switches and Routers, VLANs, Subnets
• Knowledge of Load Balancing/High Availability Solutions.

REMUNERATION:
Initial remuneration will be based on your previous experience and technical attributes.
